Every year on February 22, we come together for World Encephalitis Day (WED) to raise awareness about this serious yet often overlooked condition.
Encephalitis is an inflammation of the brain that can affect anyone, at any age, with potentially severe consequences.

In 2025, join the #Red4WED movement and take part in a virtual event with the WHO, where a technical report on encephalitis will be presented. Since 2014, this initiative has reached more than 628 million people and helped fund vital research.
